Finding an exciting way to keep the kids engaged has never been easy. Let alone trying to educate them at the same time.
The current lockdown has left many struggling to fill the role of parent and teacher. Maybe you've found yourself wondering, if only there was an easy way to teach the kids valuable skills and keep them entertained at the same time? Our Director Laura Molloy began working on an answer to that problem some years ago.
The solution came to her in the form of a large wooden box filled with soil and a handful of seeds.
From those few ingredients grew an idea; a raised garden bed that would allow parents and kids to grow their own vegetables right from their own home. Goody Foody Gardens was born.
What if there was an easy way to teach the kids valuable skills and keep them entertained at the same time?
How would Goody Foody Gardens work?
Parents could order the raised garden bed online then a friendly local gardener would come along to install it and teach the family how to look after it.
But what about after that?
The family could arrange for the gardener to come back and do maintenance visits to make sure everything was growing nicely. A handy printed guide would help them to know how to look after things in between visits.
From there the family could enjoy growing their own veg and eating it!
What about the Covid-19 lockdown? Won't that put things on hold?
No. In fact Goody Foody Gardens is perfect for the lockdown. There has never been a greater opportunity to grow your own veg. The raised garden bed can be ordered online and then delivered, all while complying with social distancing rules.
