This small but experienced team has taken the business from its original retail space to a much larger location in North Ayrshire, which includes a spacious showroom where customers can test out equipment and benefit from specialist advice.
The average age of the population within the UK is increasing and as consumers the over – 60’s are seeking an increasingly sophisticated products which can assist them to live independently in their own homes.
In this growing and competitive market of both national and regional suppliers, the team at Thistle Help wanted a clear understanding of their target customers and the best ways to reach them in order to continue to grow the company, including how to reach the third sector.
To understand the market environment Thistle Help were operating in, the RPL Marketing Manager facilitated a strategic workshop with the team to ascertain the current situation using a SWOT analysis. This led to additional research into external opportunities and threats, and the business’s strengths and weaknesses.
This information was then gathered into a summary of key insights for the business and a strategic report that set out the situation analysis, key strategic goals and objectives, plus key market insights and KPI’s. This report set out the business direction for growth and the direction it should take when investing in the production of tactical marketing activity.
